Your donation should go to the cause, not the company.
We built Fuel My Dreams because we were tired of fundraising companies keeping too much of the money people give.
A note from our founder
I'm a father of four. Between band fees, team trips and school fundraisers, I've spent years watching fundraising companies gouge the families and volunteers doing the hard work, taking a big cut of every dollar before it ever reaches the kids.
I started Fuel My Dreams so that when you give, your money goes where you meant it to go.
A dad of four, founder of Fuel My DreamsWhy we started
When a parent gives $50 to the band, or a grandparent gives $100 to the football team, they expect that money to reach the kids. Too often a big share of it disappears along the way, into platform fees, marked-up processing charges, and checkout screens that pressure donors into tipping the company.
That money was meant for uniforms, instruments, travel to competitions and food on pantry shelves. We think the people raising it, and the people giving it, deserve better.
What we do differently
That is our whole fee
We charge 1% of each donation to keep the site running. Not 5%, not 10%, not 15%.
No markup on processing
Card processing is handled by Stripe. We pass Stripe's cost through exactly as it is, without adding anything on top.
No tip requests
Donors are never pushed to add a "tip" for us at checkout. Every extra dollar they choose to give goes to the cause.
On a $100 donation, the school receives $95.80. See the full breakdown
